The Portsmouth Summer fayre is held in Victoria Park which is in the middle of Portsmouth right next to all the shops etc. The park is really lovely in that it has animals and birds, a lovely large new children’s play area and lots of open green space for chillaxing 🙂 Well every September PCAN (Portsmouth Climate Action Network) run a Summer fayre and my other half is a member so while he’s off helping here, there and everywhere I help out in the children’s craft tent and have a few of my bits for sale. This is what we made this year:
This bird I designed and coloured – this is the same bird with 2 different patterned sides so it’s called the split personality bird 🙂
Again done by me and its another split personality bird
This one a young girl started colouring in the green tail but then decided she didn’t like it anymore so I asked her if I could finish it off. She was happy with my finished piece 🙂 I also had a lovely chat with them, the young girl said that she would love to be a wizard and be able to bring all the birds to life and they would all fly off to the Amazon Jungle and what lovely colourful sight that would be.
A lot of the children said they were going to take them home and hang them in their bedroom windows
