Some of the work I made during my second year at Portsmouth Uni, all based around The Recession.

This is a Cardboard Cash Machine

Which like the banking system is ‘Out of Order’ and oppose to churning out money it’s spitting out bills.

The text on the (3-withdrawals) was a reference to ‘Free’ withdrawals and ‘Fragile’ a comment on the state of the economy.

img199 img200 img201 A set of works made from photos of shops which had closed down in my local highstreet (Gosport) which I have then drawn and collaged using old newspapers.

A box in which I have created a closed -up shop on each side, using old pieces of cardboard and newspaper and magazine pages. Again each one is created loosely from a shop which has closed down in my local area.

This a piece of bracelet I made using cardboard which I then painted gold as a comment to all the ‘cash for gold’ schemes at the moment
